\ud83e\uddb7\u2728 \u00a1Patients often comment that they cannot have implants due to lack of bone, heavy medication, contraindications, etc!<\/p>\n

And this is one of those very common cases in my clinic that challenges all those norms. A poly-medicated patient with serious coagulation disorders, severe respiratory problems, very poor quality of life due to wearing a removable prosthesis that couldn\u2019t wear, with severe chronic periodontitis, and ex\/smoker, who had previously failed implants.<\/p>\n

The planning in this case, due to extreme atrophy, was radical. All upper teeth were extracted<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

She had an old implant placed by me 6 or 8 years ago, which is perfectly fine, and was included in the rehabilitation.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Implants were placed without opening the gums (flapless) without stitches, an intraoral scan was performed, proper prosthetic planning was done, and that same afternoon, 4 hours later!!!!!!\u00a0this provisional rehabilitation could be placed.<\/p>\n

When multiple extractions and immediate implants are done, usually a transitional prosthesis needs to be placed for a few months, until the gums mature and heal, to subsequently move to a more definitive prosthesis.<\/p>\n

Always fixed, without giving stitches, without opening towards the palate, producing the minimum possible trauma, to have immediate results from the first day. The patient hadn\u2019t eaten a hamburger or a sandwich in years, hadn\u2019t bitten with quality in years, and we were able to achieve this in just ONE DAY.<\/p>\n
